The AWC Badlander is simply the Amphibian S
interfaced with the Ruger MKIII512 Target. Like the
Amphibian S, the 2009 Badlander is shorter and features a significant
weight reduction through a new baffle design that utilizes a Titanium
and 303 stainless steel primary baffle system with 6061T6 secondary
chambers. Improved accuracy is primarily achieved with the new baffle
design. The new baffle and chamber system is also more responsive to
simple maintenance, significantly increasing Service Life through a
change in assembly methods. Upon completion the entire weapon is
treated with a special charcoal black finish to give the Badlander a
Parkerized look with added all weather protection. The result is the
most technically advanced pistol with the look of the WWII or Vietnam
Era weapons.
Routine maintenance can be quickly performed by the user. If the
weapon sees heavy use, and the user perceives the need, AWC can fully
restore the suppressor quickly and economically.
The Badlander is detailed stripped and “blue printed” for reliability
with standard target and high velocity cartridges. Shooting 40gr High
Velocity the Badlander is deadly accurate and is immensely less noisy
than a CO2 pellet pistol.
