You’ll want to check out the new and improved version of TAPCO’s already great AR15 magazine. TAPCO kept the same rugged mag body, but changed the spring and follower design to make it the best AR mag available.
Follower: We’ve redesigned the follower to allow more dirt and grime to pass than any other mag on the market. This allows the mag to keep feeding ammo, despite loose dirt or sand that may have entered the magazine. The follower continues to be an anti-tilt design, so you don’t have to worry about jammed or vertical cartridges in the mag.  We have made the new follower dark earth colored so you can easily distinguish between the Gen I and Gen II versions.
Spring:  The single most improved part of the mag, the GenII magazine features a spring with more Mil-Spec qualities than the original. Now made of premium 17-7 Stainless Steel, the spring has a new shape for smoother, quieter loading through all 5 rounds. No more extra effort needed on those last few rounds. The changes in spring tension also reduce overall stress on the mag body, preventing spine cracks, which plague other composite mags.
Drop Free:  The GenII mag puts a stop to the rare drop-free issues that some users experienced with the original mags. Other changes made to the GenII mag ensure the feed lips don’t spread; a common problem for non-metallic mags. The GenII mag now offers the most consistent fit and performance among all composite mags.
